Terms & Conditions and Service Policies
Effective Date: September 1, 2026
These Terms & Conditions and Service Policies (“Terms”) govern dog-walking services provided by Buddy Ol’ Pals LLC (“Buddy Ol’ Pals,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account, requesting or booking a service, providing access to a pet or property, or otherwise using Buddy Ol’ Pals services, the customer (“Customer,” “you,” or “your”) acknowledges and agrees to these Terms.
1. Services
Buddy Ol’ Pals provides scheduled dog-walking services.
Current standard services include:
- 30-Minute Dog Walk — $30 per dog
- 60-Minute Dog Walk — $45 per dog
Pricing is per dog. Dogs belonging to the same household may be walked together when Buddy Ol’ Pals determines that doing so is safe and appropriate; however, each dog is charged at the applicable individual service rate.
Buddy Ol’ Pals reserves the right to modify services and pricing. Any pricing change will apply to future bookings and will not change the price of a previously confirmed and paid appointment unless otherwise agreed.
2. Operating Hours
Buddy Ol’ Pals operates 7 days a week from 5:00 AM to 10:00 PM, subject to availability.
10:00 PM is the end of the normal operating period. Appointments are scheduled so that the walk and reasonable operational requirements associated with the appointment can be completed within operating hours.
Standard scheduling blocks are:
- 30-minute walk: approximately 45 minutes of operational time
- 60-minute walk: approximately 90 minutes of operational time
Operational time may include reasonable time necessary for parking, property access, retrieving and preparing the dog, completing the full purchased walk, safely returning the dog, securing the property, and completing the walk report.
The operational buffer does not reduce the customer’s purchased walking time.
3. Appointment Requests & Confirmation
Submitting a walk request does not automatically confirm the appointment.
All requests are subject to Buddy Ol’ Pals’ review and approval based on availability, location, travel requirements, staffing, safety considerations, operating capacity, and other relevant circumstances.
A requested appointment becomes confirmed only after Buddy Ol’ Pals approves the request and the required payment has been successfully completed.
If a requested time cannot reasonably be accommodated, Buddy Ol’ Pals may decline the request or propose an alternative time.
4. Advance Booking
Customers may request an appointment as little as 2 hours before the requested walk time, subject to availability and approval.
Submitting a request does not guarantee that Buddy Ol’ Pals can accommodate the requested time.
Appointments requested within the cancellation window described below become subject to the applicable cancellation terms once confirmed.
5. Walk Duration
Customers will receive the full walking time purchased.
A 30-minute service includes approximately 30 minutes of actual dog-walking time.
A 60-minute service includes approximately 60 minutes of actual dog-walking time.
The paid walk begins when the dog is secured and the actual walk begins.
Time reasonably spent traveling to the property, locating parking, obtaining property access, retrieving the dog, or performing other pre-walk operational activities will not be deducted from the customer’s purchased walking time.
6. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
Customers must cancel or request to reschedule an appointment at least 3 hours before the scheduled walk time to avoid a cancellation fee.
Timely Cancellation
A cancellation submitted at least 3 hours before the scheduled walk is not subject to the $20 cancellation fee.
Any applicable refund will be processed according to Buddy Ol’ Pals’ refund procedures.
Timely Rescheduling
An appointment rescheduled at least 3 hours before the scheduled walk may be moved to another available date or time without a cancellation fee.
The customer’s existing payment will remain attached to the rescheduled appointment.
The customer does not need to receive a refund and make a new payment solely because of a timely rescheduling request.
All new requested times remain subject to availability and approval.
Late Cancellation or Rescheduling
A cancellation or rescheduling request submitted less than 3 hours before the scheduled walk is subject to a $20 cancellation fee.
Appointments booked and confirmed within 3 hours of their scheduled start time are already within the cancellation window and are therefore subject to the $20 cancellation fee if subsequently canceled or rescheduled.
For a late cancellation, Buddy Ol’ Pals will retain or charge the applicable $20 cancellation fee and refund any remaining eligible amount from the original booking.
For a late rescheduling request, the original appointment will be closed subject to the $20 cancellation fee. Any remaining eligible balance from the original appointment will be refunded, and any replacement appointment must be separately requested, approved, booked, and paid for at the applicable service rate.
First Late-Cancellation Courtesy
As a one-time customer courtesy, Buddy Ol’ Pals may waive the $20 cancellation/rescheduling fee for a customer’s first qualifying late cancellation or late rescheduling request.
After the courtesy has been used, normal cancellation terms apply.
Refund Processing
Approved refunds will be initiated by Buddy Ol’ Pals as promptly as reasonably practicable. After a refund is initiated, the time required for funds to appear in the customer’s account depends on the customer’s bank, card issuer, or payment provider.
7. Customer Availability & Property Access
Customers may select an approved access method, including:
- In-Person Handoff
- Contactless Home Access
Customers using contactless access must provide accurate and complete instructions necessary for the walker to safely enter the property, retrieve the dog, complete the service, return the dog, and secure the property.
This may include:
- Gate or building instructions
- Concierge/front-desk instructions
- Temporary access codes or lockbox information
- Alarm instructions
- Location of the dog, leash, harness, and other necessary equipment
- Parking instructions
- Instructions for securing the home after the walk
Customers are responsible for ensuring Buddy Ol’ Pals has lawful permission to enter the property as instructed.
8. Access Delays & Failed Access
The walker will make reasonable efforts to gain access according to the customer’s instructions.
If a customer-caused access problem prevents entry, Buddy Ol’ Pals may attempt to contact the customer.
Buddy Ol’ Pals will generally allow up to 10 minutes to resolve an access issue when reasonably possible.
If access cannot be obtained within a reasonable period, the appointment may be designated:
Unable to Complete — Access Issue
An inability to complete a service because the customer failed to provide necessary access may be treated as a no-show/failed appointment and may be subject to the $20 fee.
Buddy Ol’ Pals may waive the fee when circumstances reasonably justify doing so.
9. Parking, Buildings & Gated Communities
Customers must disclose information reasonably necessary for the walker to reach the property, including applicable:
- Gate access
- Security procedures
- Concierge requirements
- Guest parking
- Valet requirements
- Paid parking
- Building entry procedures
- Elevator/access restrictions
Customers are responsible for required parking or property-access charges associated with providing the requested service when such charges are necessary because of the customer’s property or chosen access arrangement.
Whenever reasonably possible, known unusual access costs should be identified before the appointment is confirmed.
10. Dog Information & Customer Disclosures
Customers must provide complete and accurate information about each dog before service.
Customers must disclose known information reasonably relevant to the safe provision of services, including:
- Aggressive behavior
- Previous bites or attempted bites
- Reactivity toward people or animals
- Escape tendencies
- Fear or anxiety triggers
- Leash aggression
- Resource guarding
- Relevant behavioral restrictions
- Known physical limitations
- Relevant medical conditions
- Allergies or other safety concerns
- Any legal classification or restriction applicable to the dog
Customers must promptly update Buddy Ol’ Pals if this information changes.
Failure to disclose material behavioral, safety, or health information may result in refusal, suspension, or termination of service.
11. Leashes, Harnesses & Equipment
Customers are responsible for providing safe, properly fitted, and functional equipment appropriate for their dog, including a leash, collar and/or harness when required.
Buddy Ol’ Pals may decline to walk a dog if the walker reasonably determines that the equipment provided is unsafe, damaged, improperly fitted, or otherwise creates an unreasonable risk of escape or injury.
Buddy Ol’ Pals may also modify or discontinue a walk if equipment becomes unsafe during service.
12. Safety & Aggressive Behavior
Safety takes priority over completing a walk.
Buddy Ol’ Pals and its walkers may decline to begin, modify, shorten, or terminate a service when a walker reasonably believes that continuing would create an unreasonable risk to:
- The dog
- The walker
- Another person
- Another animal
- Property
- The public
Examples may include aggressive behavior, attempted biting, dangerous leash behavior, escape attempts, unsafe equipment, dangerous environmental conditions, or material behavioral information that was not previously disclosed.
A walker is not required to physically force, restrain, or handle a dog when doing so would create an unreasonable safety risk.
13. Weather & Environmental Conditions
Buddy Ol’ Pals may modify, delay, shorten, relocate, or cancel outdoor activity when weather or environmental conditions create a safety concern.
Relevant conditions may include:
- Extreme heat
- Dangerous pavement temperatures
- Lightning
- Severe thunderstorms
- Tropical weather
- Flooding
- Poor air quality
- Other hazardous conditions
When appropriate, Buddy Ol’ Pals may substitute outdoor walking time with a safer potty break or other reasonable care activity, depending on the circumstances and the dog’s needs.
Customer and animal safety will take priority over completing an outdoor route under unsafe conditions.
14. Emergency Contact & Veterinary Information
Customers must maintain current emergency contact information and should provide their preferred veterinarian and veterinary contact information.
Customers authorize Buddy Ol’ Pals to contact the customer and/or designated emergency contact if an urgent situation occurs during service.
If Buddy Ol’ Pals reasonably believes a dog requires urgent veterinary attention and the customer or emergency contact cannot be reached promptly, Buddy Ol’ Pals may seek reasonable emergency veterinary assistance when necessary to protect the dog’s health or safety.
The customer remains financially responsible for veterinary treatment, transportation, and related expenses associated with the customer’s dog except to the extent such expense is finally determined to have resulted from Buddy Ol’ Pals’ legally actionable negligence or misconduct.
Buddy Ol’ Pals does not provide veterinary diagnosis or treatment.
15. Illness, Injury & Existing Conditions
Customers are responsible for informing Buddy Ol’ Pals of medical conditions, physical limitations, recent injuries, surgeries, medications relevant to the walk, or other circumstances that could affect safe service.
Buddy Ol’ Pals may decline or modify service when a dog’s condition appears inconsistent with safely completing the requested walk.
Buddy Ol’ Pals does not represent itself as a veterinary provider and does not diagnose or treat medical conditions.
16. Vaccinations, Licensing & Legal Requirements
Dogs 4 months of age or older must have a current rabies vaccination as required by Florida law before receiving Buddy Ol’ Pals services.
Customers must provide accurate rabies vaccination information and, upon request, proof of a current rabies vaccination.
A dog may be exempt from the rabies vaccination requirement when the customer provides valid written documentation from a licensed veterinarian establishing a medical exemption in accordance with applicable law.
Customers are responsible for ensuring their dog remains compliant with all applicable vaccination, licensing, registration, identification, quarantine, and animal-control requirements.
Buddy Ol’ Pals reserves the right to decline or suspend service when required vaccination or legally required documentation is expired, unavailable, or cannot reasonably be verified.
17. Interaction With Other Animals & People
Buddy Ol’ Pals will make reasonable efforts to avoid unnecessary or unsafe interactions during walks.
Customers must disclose known reactivity toward:
- Other dogs
- Cats or other animals
- Children
- Bicycles
- Vehicles
- Strangers
- Other known triggers
Buddy Ol’ Pals does not guarantee that all contact with other people or animals can be avoided in public environments.
Buddy Ol’ Pals may alter the walking route when reasonably necessary for safety.
18. Walk Report Cards
Following a completed walk, Buddy Ol’ Pals may provide a Walk Report Card containing information such as:
- Walk duration
- Bathroom activity
- Confirmation that the dog was safely returned
- Confirmation that the home was secured when applicable
- Completion of requested after-walk instructions
- A photo when safely possible
- Walker notes
Report information is intended as a convenient service update and is not veterinary or behavioral advice.
19. Photos
Buddy Ol’ Pals may take photographs of the customer’s dog during or immediately following service when doing so can be accomplished safely.
Operational photos may be used to provide the customer with service updates or Walk Report Cards.
Walkers should avoid intentionally photographing sensitive security information, access codes, private documents, or unnecessary areas inside the customer’s residence.
Buddy Ol’ Pals will not require a walker to take a photograph when doing so would interfere with safely controlling or caring for the dog.
Any use of customer pet photographs for advertising or public marketing should be subject to any separate photo/media permission presented to the customer.
20. After-Walk Instructions
Customers may provide reasonable after-walk instructions, such as:
- Returning the dog to a designated area
- Crating the dog
- Replacing the dog’s leash or equipment
- Refilling drinking water
- Securing specified doors
- Activating an alarm as instructed
Buddy Ol’ Pals will make reasonable efforts to follow properly submitted instructions when safe and practical.
Dog walking does not automatically include feeding, medication administration, extensive pet sitting, household chores, or other services unless expressly offered and agreed upon.
21. Property Security
For contactless appointments, Buddy Ol’ Pals will make reasonable efforts to secure the customer’s property according to the access and departure instructions provided.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate instructions and functional locks, gates, codes, keys, lockboxes, alarm systems, and other access equipment.
Buddy Ol’ Pals is not responsible for problems caused by inaccurate instructions, preexisting defects, malfunctioning locks or security systems, or unauthorized persons with independent access to the property, except to the extent liability cannot legally be excluded.
Customers should promptly notify Buddy Ol’ Pals if access credentials are changed.
22. Payment
Payment is required according to the booking process presented through the Buddy Ol’ Pals platform.
An appointment is not guaranteed until it has been approved by Buddy Ol’ Pals and any required payment has been successfully completed.
Customers authorize Buddy Ol’ Pals and its payment processor to process charges associated with requested and confirmed services, applicable cancellation/no-show fees, and other charges expressly authorized under these Terms.
23. Service Refusal or Termination
Buddy Ol’ Pals reserves the right to refuse, suspend, or terminate service when reasonably necessary because of:
- Safety concerns
- Aggressive or dangerous behavior
- Undisclosed material information
- Repeated access problems
- Nonpayment
- Fraudulent activity
- Harassment, threats, or abusive behavior toward walkers or staff
- Unsafe property conditions
- Violations of these Terms
- Circumstances making safe or lawful service impracticable
When reasonably possible, Buddy Ol’ Pals will communicate the reason for the decision to the customer.
24. Inherent Risks & Limitation of Liability
Dog walking and animal handling involve inherent and sometimes unpredictable risks, including animal behavior, interactions with other animals or people, traffic, weather, environmental hazards, escape attempts, and unexpected illness or injury.
Customers acknowledge these inherent risks when requesting service.
Buddy Ol’ Pals will exercise reasonable care in providing services.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to waive liability that cannot legally be waived under applicable law.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Buddy Ol’ Pals will not be responsible for losses resulting solely from circumstances outside its reasonable control, undisclosed conditions or behavior, inaccurate customer instructions, preexisting property defects, or the inherent behavior of an animal where Buddy Ol’ Pals exercised reasonable care.
25. Customer Responsibility for Dog Behavior
The customer remains responsible for providing truthful and complete information concerning the dog’s behavior and history.
The customer is responsible for damages, injuries, expenses, or losses caused by the customer’s dog to the extent provided by applicable law, subject to any responsibility attributable to Buddy Ol’ Pals or its personnel under applicable law.
Customers must immediately inform Buddy Ol’ Pals if their dog has been classified as dangerous or becomes subject to governmental restrictions.
26. Emergencies, Severe Weather & Service Interruptions
Buddy Ol’ Pals may delay, modify, reschedule, or cancel services due to circumstances reasonably outside normal operational control, including:
- Hurricanes or tropical storms
- Flooding
- Lightning or severe weather
- Road closures
- Government emergency orders
- Unsafe travel conditions
- Unexpected illness or emergencies involving assigned personnel
- Other circumstances that make service unsafe or impracticable
Buddy Ol’ Pals will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant service changes to affected customers.
Fees may be waived or refunds/rescheduling offered when Buddy Ol’ Pals determines that circumstances warrant an exception.
27. No Guarantee of Specific Walker
Buddy Ol’ Pals may assign an available qualified walker to a confirmed appointment.
Although customer preferences may be considered, Buddy Ol’ Pals does not guarantee that a particular walker will be available for every appointment.
As Buddy Ol’ Pals expands its team, assignments may be made based on availability, geography, scheduling, dog compatibility, and operational requirements.
28. Customer Account Information
Customers are responsible for maintaining accurate account information, including:
- Contact information
- Dog profile
- Emergency contact
- Address
- Access instructions
- Behavioral disclosures

Marketing communications, where applicable, will be handled according to applicable consent and opt-out requirements.
30. Changes to These Terms
Buddy Ol’ Pals may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in services, operations, law, insurance requirements, technology, or business practices.
Material changes may be communicated through the website, application, email, or other reasonable means.
Updated Terms apply prospectively from their stated effective date unless otherwise required by law.
31. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Any rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived or limited remain unaffected.
32. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect to the fullest extent permitted by law.
33. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the customer’s booking information, dog profile, applicable service selections, cancellation policy, and any additional policies expressly incorporated into the booking process, constitute the agreement governing the applicable Buddy Ol’ Pals service.
34. Customer Acknowledgment
Before completing a booking, the customer must affirmatively acknowledge that they have read and agree to the Buddy Ol’ Pals Terms & Conditions and Cancellation Policy.
